The region’s premier equestrian event pays tribute to the Arabian love affair with horses & is one of the UAE’s biggest social events. Taking place on the last Saturday of March at the iconic Meydan Racecourse, it is the richest day of racing in the world with a combined purse of $30. The day features 9 group1/2 races, highlighted by the $10m DWC. Festivities end with the magnificent show & concert with past artists including Kyle Minogue, Janet Jackson and in 2017 the Australian star Sia.

Day of UK departure. Kindly remind your guests that their passports WILL be required upon airport check-in & the return leg in Dubai (DXB). Online check in is NOT available pre-event due to the group nature of Imperials bookings. Group/block seating has been requested with Emirates for all our flights. Should you have any specific seating preferences it is suggested that you arrive as early as possible with your guests to aid the Emirates check-in staff.

Emirates Checked Baggage
Economy class passengers can take a bag total not exceeding 30kg, Even if guests choose to exceed their luggage allowance (at an additional cost) each item must not exceed 32kg. Any bags carried in addition to your free checked baggage allowance will incur an extra bag charge.
Emirates Cabin Baggage
Economy Class passengers are permitted one piece of carry-on baggage, either a handbag or laptop bag, that may not exceed 22 x 15 x 8 inches (55 x 38 x 20cm) and must weigh no more than 15lb (7kg). Your bag must fit into the bag gauge which is available at the check-in area. Guests must be able to lift the bag into the overhead locker unaided. Please also note that restrictions relating to the size and number of bags allowed through security remain in place for all air travellers departing a UK airport.
Travel Documentation
It is the responsibility of the host & their individual guests to ensure any relevant travel documentation including valid visas are in place prior to departure. It is imperative that guests arrive on time for all transfers during the event. We regret to inform you that should guests arrive late for any of the scheduled transfers, they will be asked to make their own travel arrangements to the destination at their own expense. Please note: If you are not utilising the outbound flight element of the package please consider it is standard airline policy to cancel the inbound leg if the outbound leg is classified as a ‘no show’. Online check-in is not available for group bookings in advance of travel.

Distance from Atlantis to Meydan: 31.9km.

Guests entering the various hospitality areas should be dress modesty and respectively. Men should wear lounge suits or their national dress. Women are expected to wear elegant race day attire or national dress and they are encouraged to wear hats. Jeans, T-shirts, trainers or sneakers, flip-flop, combat trousers and shorts are strictly prohibited in all the hospitality areas.

If you fancy a flutter, please remember gambling is illegal in the UAE although Dubai hosts the richest horse race in the world. Betting is slightly different to most countries in the world as racegoers are not allowed to have a bet at the track as it is against the laws of the UAE. This means that race fans travelling to the Meydan track should place their bets by downloading an APP, using an online bookmaker, or at a bookmakers shop beforehand.

Passenger Flight Manifest Grid
Imperial Corporate Events is contractually obliged to provide the carrier with passport details for all travellers well in advance of departure. The attached grid must be completed & returned for all passengers travelling no later than 12 weeks prior to the contracted event date to: k.burbage@imperial.events.

Please make every endeavour to provide us with the correct information as it appears in your guests passport. Late name submissions and changes or spelling alterations will be charged to you at the standard airline rate at the time of the amendment, if at all feasible. Any late entries will regretfully lead to passengers being cancelled off the event without consultation. NO CHANGES are possible after the flight is ticketed.
Event accreditation
Your event accreditation will be dispatched approximately 5 to 7 days prior to the event, to your contracted ticket address, via Royal Mail Special Delivery, a signature will be required upon receipt. If a signature is not available it is your responsibility to arrange re-delivery with Royal Mail. Grandstand accreditation strictly cannot be replaced under any circumstances.
Change of address
If you wish for your accreditation to be sent to an alternative address, please advise us in writing no later than two weeks prior to the event to hayley@imperial.events who will confirm by return of e-mail once actioned. Due to security reasons final event documentation will only be sent to addresses within Great Britain.
