CHARITY PARTNER: STREET CHILD UNITED

 

Since we incorporated in 2002 one of our major focuses has been giving something back to the community through charity work. As our business has grown we have been fortunate to be able to support several charities. In August 2015 we started working with a fantastic UK based charity called Street Child United.

Street Child United believes in a world in where street children have access to the rights that every child deserves. A world in which they are protected, supported and given opportunities to realise their potential.

To achieve this Street Child United harnesses the power of sport, the arts and children’s voices to deliver international sporting events for street children. These events powerfully demonstrate the children’s potential bringing the challenges and injustices they face daily onto the global agenda.

Since 2010 Street Child United has organised several major sporting events for street children such as the Street Child United World Cups . In 2016 Street Child United Launched  the first ever Street Child Games in Rio De Janeiro check out the video below for the full story.

We have worked with Street Child United for  a year now and after the success of the Street Child Games we are even more passionate  to support them and raise money for their cause. We believe that all children no matter what their situation should be able to say “I AM SOMEONE” .

Since being partnered with Street Child United in August 2015 we have raised over £21,000 by holding staff events and fundraisers including;

  • The ICE charity sleep out.
  • Street Child, ICE Halloween party.
  • ICE bake sale.
  • ICE ladies night fundraiser.
  • Confessions of a shopaholic fundraiser.
  • ICE poker night.
  • Street child charity auction.
  • Company car boot sale.

We have also attended several official Street Child Charity fundraisers including the Gala Dinner, the football for good awards to name a few.

We look forward to supporting Street Child again throughout 2016 and aim to raise over £60,000.
