The first Wallabies arrive on English soil.

Australia walked into Rectory Field in 1909 and left with a 9-3 victory that put the rugby world on notice.
On 9 January 1909, Australia played England for the first time at Blackheath's Rectory Field during the 1908-09 Wallabies tour of Britain. Australia won 9-3, announcing themselves as a serious force in international rugby union. It was the beginning of a rivalry that would span more than a century.
