The first ever France v England match takes place in Paris.

France's debut on the world stage came at a cost; England ran in 35 points to their 8.
On 22 March 1906, France hosted England at the Parc des Princes in Paris in their first ever international rugby union match. England won 35–8, but the fixture marked France's arrival on the international stage. It was the beginning of a rivalry that would grow to define European rugby.
