Old Trafford opens its gates for the first time.

A capacity of 80,000 from day one; Leitch built a statement, not merely a ground.
Manchester United moved into Old Trafford on 19 February 1910, with Liverpool the visitors for the inaugural match. The ground, designed by Archibald Leitch, had a capacity of around 80,000 and was considered one of the finest football venues in the country. It would become the permanent home for every league fixture United hosted, including those against West Ham once the Hammers reached the top flight.
