BMW at wentworth

We arrived at wentworth for the BMW. Cooperate is the only way to watch the golf. From priority parking to breakfast dinner, a few beers. Being transported from the first tee to the half way hut and back again later where there was refreshments available included inside a top of the range BMW suv. Dinner and breakfast were taken at our table with a selection of beers and wine and soft drinks presented in cooler bowl in the centre of the table. Also a bar if you required more. To top it all off reserved seats behind the 18th green. A perfect day organised by a magnificent company imperial events. Thankyou

BMW PGA Championships Hospitality

The BMW PGA Championship at Wentworth begins with the Celebrity Pro-Am on Wednesday, 16th September. This is the curtain-raiser to the main event, and it has a noticeably different feel to the tournament days that follow. The professionals are paired with well-known faces from sport and entertainment, so the focus is less on stern competition and more on the novelty of the pairings. Your base for the day is The 72 Lounge. The name is a nod to the par of the course, and it’s set up to be a comfortable spot to watch the action unfold. It gives you a place to retreat to throughout the day, away from the crowds that follow the bigger names. It’s a good way to see the players in a more relaxed state before the serious business of the championship begins on Thursday.

Weather

Dress code

The BMW PGA Championships is an outdoor event and subject to weather conditions. There is no specific dress code for spectators in public areas BUT  appropriate footwear is recommended as the ground may be uneven in places.

Getting there

By train - If you’re travelling by train, take advantage of the free regular shuttle service from Virginia Water Station to Wentworth Golf Club, available all day from September 17th to 22nd. Virginia Water is approximately a 40-minute train journey from London Waterloo. We recommend checking train times as your event day approaches. By car - Guests of the BMW PGA Championship can use the complimentary park-and-ride service available to you.

How many rounds are there in the BMW PGA Championship?

The BMW PGA Championship usually consists of 72 holes of play. However in 2022, only 54 holes were played due to the death of her majesty the Queen.
