Three brothers, a farm near Godshill, and 10,000 souls; an island discovered its purpose in a single afternoon.
Brothers Ray, Ron, and Bill Foulk organised the first Isle of Wight Festival of Music on 31 August 1968 at Ford Farm, near Godshill. Around 10,000 people attended, with Jefferson Airplane, T.
