Two pioneers plant the seed of music therapy in the UK.

Music reached the unreachable long before anyone had a name for what Nordoff and Robbins were doing.
American composer Paul Nordoff and special education teacher Clive Robbins began their collaboration at Sunfield Children's Home in Worcestershire. Their work with children with learning disabilities and autism demonstrated that music could reach people whom conventional therapies could not. This partnership laid the foundation for what would become the UK's foremost music therapy charity.
