Getting around
Central London venues are well served by the Tube network. Your ICE booking confirmation will include the nearest station and walking directions.
Black cabs and ride-hailing apps are available throughout central London. On event nights, consider being dropped a short walk from the venue to avoid traffic.
London's bus network covers all major entertainment districts. Night buses run after events finish, or the Tube runs late on Friday and Saturday nights.
Queen + Adam Lambert is the continuation of one of rock's most storied legacies. When Brian May and Roger Taylor found a vocalist who could honour Freddie Mercury's catalogue without imitating him, they unlocked something few legacy acts manage: a live show that feels genuinely alive, not like a museum piece. Since 2012, the collaboration has filled arenas and stadiums across six continents, proving that the Queen songbook still hits harder than almost anything written since.

From Smile to Queen, four musicians built one of the biggest live acts on the planet.
Guitarist Brian May and drummer Roger Taylor, both members of the band Smile, recruited Freddie Mercury (then Freddie Bulsara) and bassist John Deacon to form Queen. The band's self-titled debut album arrived in 1973, but it was the operatic ambition of 'Bohemian Rhapsody' in 1975 that made them unmistakable. By the late 1970s, Queen were one of the biggest live acts on the planet.
Seventy-two thousand souls held captive by one man, one microphone, and twenty minutes of pure will.
On 13 July 1985, Queen took the stage at Wembley Stadium for the Live Aid concert. Their 20-minute set, featuring 'Bohemian Rhapsody', 'Radio Ga Ga', 'We Will Rock You' and 'We Are the Champions', is widely regarded as the finest live rock performance ever delivered. Mercury commanded 72,000 people with nothing more than a microphone and sheer force of personality. It cemented Queen's status as the ultimate stadium band.
A billion viewers watched the tribute concert; nobody could answer who would front Queen next.
Freddie Mercury passed away on 24 November 1991 from bronchopneumonia brought on by AIDS. He was 45. The following April, the Freddie Mercury Tribute Concert at Wembley Stadium drew 72,000 fans and a global television audience of over a billion. Guest vocalists including David Bowie, George Michael and Elton John performed Queen's catalogue, but the question of who could ever front the band live remained unanswered for years.
A runner-up finish and one shared chorus was all it took for Brian May to find his missing voice.
Adam Lambert finished as runner-up on the eighth season of American Idol in 2009. During the show's finale, he performed 'We Are the Champions' alongside Brian May and Roger Taylor. The chemistry was immediate and obvious. Lambert possessed the vocal range, theatrical instinct and sheer audacity to handle Queen's material without shrinking from it. May later described the moment as a revelation.
Lambert chose honesty over imitation, and the audiences rewarded him for it.
After several one-off appearances together, Queen + Adam Lambert performed their first proper concerts in June 2012, with three shows in Eastern Europe followed by dates in London and Moscow. The response was emphatic. Lambert brought his own identity to the songs rather than attempting a Mercury impression, and audiences responded to the honesty of it. What could have been a nostalgia act became something with genuine spark.
Sixty million dollars later, the sceptics had very little left to say.
Queen + Adam Lambert embarked on a full-scale world tour in 2014, playing arenas across North America, Oceania and Asia. The production was spectacular: a vast LED stage, pyrotechnics, and a setlist spanning Queen's entire career from 'Seven Seas of Rhye' to 'The Show Must Go On'. Critics who had been sceptical were won over. The tour grossed over $60 million and proved the collaboration had serious commercial legs.
A single film earned $900 million and handed Queen an entirely new generation of fans.
The biographical film Bohemian Rhapsody, starring Rami Malek as Freddie Mercury, was released in October 2018. It grossed over $900 million worldwide and won four Academy Awards, including Best Actor for Malek. The film introduced Queen's music to millions of younger fans and drove a massive surge in streaming numbers and concert ticket demand. Queen + Adam Lambert's subsequent Rhapsody Tour, which launched in 2019, directly benefited from this renewed global interest.
A band literally named Queen, performing for the monarch, outside her own palace. The symmetry was almost too perfect.
On 4 June 2022, Queen + Adam Lambert opened the Platinum Party at the Palace concert, celebrating Queen Elizabeth II's Platinum Jubilee. They performed 'We Will Rock You' and 'We Are the Champions' on a specially constructed stage outside Buckingham Palace, watched by 22,000 people in The Mall and millions more on television. It was a fitting full-circle moment: a band called Queen, playing for the Queen, at her palace.
