Here’s your guide to dressing to impress in each enclosure: Windsor Enclosure - In the Windsor Enclosure, there’s no strict dress code, but we encourage you to don your smartest daywear. Think stylish hats, headpieces, or fascinators, paired with jackets and collared shirts. Make a statement with your elegant yet relaxed look! Village Enclosure - For the Village Enclosure, you’re free to express your style, as long as your dress or top isn’t strapless, off-the-shoulder, or Bardot style. There’s no length limit on dresses or skirts. If you opt for full-length trousers, make sure your socks cover your ankles. Feel free to wear a necktie, bow tie, or cravat to complete your ensemble. Queen Anne Enclosure - In the Queen Anne Enclosure, maintain a touch of sophistication with dresses and tops that are not strapless, off-the-shoulder, or Bardot style. Dresses and skirts can be of any length. Full-length trousers require socks that cover the ankles. A standard necktie is a must, while bow ties and cravats are off-limits. There are four enclosures at Royal Ascot: The Royal Enclosure, Queen Anne Enclosure, Windsor Enclosure, and the Village Enclosure. Arrive with Plenty of Time - Royal Ascot attracts around 300,000 guests over its thrilling five-day event, so expect some traffic jams on your way to the racecourse. The gates open at 10:30 am, the Royal Procession takes place at 2pm and the first race commences at 2:30pm each day, so we suggest getting there early to make the most of your day. Enjoy all the fabulous amenities in your hospitality suite, including a complimentary bar and gourmet food offerings.

By car, Ascot Racecourse is close to the M3, M4, M40 & M25 Motorways meaning an easy drive to the racecourse. If you are arriving by taxi, your taxi can drop you right outside the racecourse easily. Our elite packages will provide you and your guests with a parking label. This label allows you to park for free in your allocated car park which is only a short walk away from the racetrack. Many guests opt to take the train to the racecourse. Ascot Station is only a 7-minute walk from the racecourse and there is a path for you to easily walk along. From London Waterloo to Ascot, you can take a direct train for an average of 52 minutes. South Western Railway train also travels directly from Clapham Junction, Richmond and Twickenham.
Royal Ascot takes place over 5 days.
The royal procession arrives by carriage at 2pm. The carriages will arrive on the race track and head to the Parade Ring where you can get a better view. The Royal Family will then head to the Royal Box to enjoy a thrilling day of racing.
Each day at Royal Ascot the first race starts at 2:30 pm.
Advice to our guests in the Village Enclosure is that gentlemen should wear a suit jacket or blazer with full-length trousers or chinos and a collared shirt. A necktie, bow tie, or cravat is required, and socks must cover the ankle. Patriotic patterns are allowed on ties. Ladies should wear a dress or top and skirt with shoulder or halter neck straps. Trouser suits in matching material and jumpsuits that fall below the knee are acceptable. Hats, headpieces, or fascinators are encouraged. Strapless, off-the-shoulder, sheer fabrics, and visible midriffs are not allowed. Novelty patterns, trainers, denim, leggings, and shorts are also prohibited. For those in the Queen Anne Enclosure, Gentlemen must wear a full-length two or three-piece suit with matching jacket and trousers, a collared shirt, and a necktie. Socks should cover the ankle. Ladies can wear a dress or top and skirt with shoulder or halter neck straps, or a trouser suit of matching material. Jumpsuits below the knee are allowed, and a hat, headpiece, or fascinator is required. Strapless, sheer, or off-the-shoulder outfits, cravats, and bow ties are not permitted. Trainers, denim, leggings, and shorts are also banned. Lastly, for guests in the Royal Enclosure Gentlemen must wear morning dress in black, grey, or navy, with a waistcoat, necktie, and black or grey top hat, which can be removed in certain areas. Black dress shoes with socks covering the ankle are required. Ladies need a dress or skirt that falls just above the knee or longer, with shoulder straps at least 1 inch wide. Trouser suits in matching material and jumpsuits below the knee are permitted. Hats or a headpiece with a base of at least 4 inches are required. Strapless, halter neck, or sheer outfits are not allowed. Custom top hats, cravats, novelty patterns, trainers, denim, leggings, and shorts are prohibited.
