Had an amazing day at Royal Windsor races preceded by 5 course lunch at the iconic Michelin starred Hind’s Head in Bray. The event was well organised by Imperial who took care of all the details including transfer to the races by river with free flowing champagne! Thank you Chloe Manders for suggesting this great experience.

Great Welcome from host ( who checks throughout the day) . Meal in Hinds Head was lovely, transfer all good and boat trip marvellous down to Windsor. Great way to spoil clients or family. Nice they waited patiently for the boat trip back to see all that wanted to sail, did sail.
The food, the boat trip and the wonderful staff along with the glorious weather .
A have recently been treated to a wonderful day out organised by Imperial Corporate Events. We began our day in the lovely village of Bray, greeted by our friendly host at the Michelin starred Hind’s Head where the food was simply delicious! There was a complimentary coach to Maidenhead where we boarded a river cruiser and where were offered an array of drinks followed by afternoon tea. Our trip took 2 hours along a picturesque route to the Royal Windsor races, ready for the evening entertainment. I have never been before but the atmosphere was fabulous. We boarded the cruiser at 9pm following the last race and were served a very welcome hot meal (the temperature had dropped significantly by then). There was tea/coffee and complimentary drinks for the duration of the trip. The timings of the day were perfect and the lady who was hosting was so helpful. We had an amazing day 😊
Rooted in the riverside village of Bray near Maidenhead, the Hind’s Head is a centuries-old coaching inn turned destination restaurant with a Michelin dining pedigree. Tucked a short hop from the Thames and Windsor Racecourse, it pairs characterful British heritage with polished craft in the kitchen, making it a fitting start to a raceday built around great food and easy river living. Hind’s Head hospitality leans into refined British classics, seasonal produce and thoughtful wine pairings. Service is attentive without fuss, and the setting suits both intimate tables and hosted groups. For clients or colleagues, it feels personal yet relaxed, with the kind of pacing that lets conversation breathe before the excitement of the track. Many guests link the restaurant with Royal Windsor Races. A leisurely boat cruise from nearby moorings takes you along the Thames to the course, setting the tone for an evening of horse racing under Windsor’s skyline. The season brings Monday night fixtures, summer highlights and themed meetings, giving you plenty of ways to shape an itinerary around dining and the races. A small tip for planning. Book your table to finish just ahead of the first race so the river transfer becomes part of the story, and keep an eye on Royal Windsor Races dates to match your preferred atmosphere, whether lively summer Mondays or select feature nights.
Heston Blumenthal bought this fine dining-pub in 2004.
Situated in the picturesque Berkshire village of Bray, The Hind's Head has been serving guests, and all manner of visitors, since the 1400s. First established as a hunting lodge then later a coaching inn, it has been a pioneering British pub since Heston Blumenthal bought it in 2004.
