The King George VI and Queen Elizabeth QIPCO Stakes is Europe’s indisputable midsummer middle-distance showpiece. Most recently, in what has justly been billed a ‘race for the ages’ & accompanied with a popular mainstream DJ leading a fabulous after-party at the iconic Bandstand.

Join us in the exclusive Furlong Club, a private marquee with its very own trackside viewing balcony, bar and seating area. The private terrace offers an ideal opportunity to soak up the electrifying atmosphere with a welcoming glass of Champagne.

Back for 2021, the outstanding, dynamic & unforgettable Function Band will be performing throughout the day. Combining world-class Flat racing with quintessential English garden party experience, it is an unmissable event steeped in history and synonymous with style.

11:00 Gates open. Guests are invited to make their way to The Furlong Club located next to the main Grandstand, close to the Bandstand and Parade Ring. Please proceed up to the entrance and provide your company name (used at time of booking) and you will be guided to your table for the day.
– A glass of Champagne will be served upon arrival. Complimentary bar of selected beers, wines, mainline spirits and soft drinks opens.
From 12:00 Four course set luncheon is served.
13:50 First race commences.
From 15:30 Traditional afternoon tea is served.
15:40 King George VI and Queen Elizabeth Stakes.
17:20 Last race commences.
17:50 Bar closes 30 minutes after the start of the last race.
– Restaurant closes and all guests depart.

Ladies should dress for a smart occasion. Hats or fascinators are preferred but not mandatory. Gentlemen are required to wear a jacket with a collared shirt and tie. Trainers are not permitted. Children aged 17 and under should adhere to the dress code; however this does not apply to very young children. Please note that fancy dress, novelty and branded or promotional clothing is not permitted.
