Nottingham Forest Football Club competes in the Premier League, with home fixtures at the City Ground on the banks of the River Trent. Founded in 1865, Forest are one of the oldest professional football clubs in the world and the only English club outside Manchester United, Liverpool, Chelsea and Aston Villa to win the European Cup, having won back-to-back European trophies in 1979 and 1980 under Brian Clough.
