Our best tips
Ascot lands in the UK summer, so expect high teens to low twenties. Pack a light jacket for the odd chilly hour. If the weather turns, your suite has plenty of indoor space to watch the racing from.
Royal Ascot draws 300,000 guests over five days, so expect traffic. Gates open at 10:30am, the Royal Procession rolls at 2pm, and the first race is off at 2:30pm. Arrive early; you'll want time to settle into your suite before the off.
Dress codes differ by enclosure: smart daywear in Windsor, no straps in Village or Queen Anne, full morning dress in the Royal Enclosure. Hats or headpieces are expected for women, jackets and ties for men. Stag and hen kit is off the table.
A pint at the racecourse will set you back around £7.60. Our packages include drinks at your table for the day, plus lunch (set-course or buffet, your call). Worth knowing before you start counting rounds.
Getting you on track

Completely hands-off from start to finish
Tell us what you're after and we'll plan the rest. All you have to do is show up.

Add personal touches to your trip
Make a request and our team will do everything they can to make it happen
Your host walks the paddock with you. One person, one number, the whole weekend.
Pick the experience, pick the tier, pick the day. Your account manager handles the rest.
Getting around
Book a local car with a fixed time and a named meet point away from the gates, because Uber supply collapses on race-days.
The Thames village just west of the course is the area's dining destination and makes a strong base for a free evening.
We time your car for the hour after the last race, once the exodus has thinned and pickup near the gates stays clean.

A great day out
A great day at the Ascot races
The never ending care and consideration that all the guests received during the event. Thank you. The missing fifth star for the perfect experience was the provided map and the fact that none of the course attendants had any knowledge of the location of the hospitality suite. So 9/10 with thanks
Very well organised event
Very well organised event and our customers had a great time. Would love to have re-booked for next year but the Villiers enclosure is closing and the alternative is double the cost, so not an option - shame!
A day out at Ascot
The day out at Ascot was set up very well by Marcus from Imperial and my whole group had a fabulous time. The food was excellent and there was no queuing for the bar. Plenty of track side bookies available and no delays in putting on bets. A really well organised event from start to finish.
Fantastic customer service
Fantastic customer service from Gee and the team who delivered a first class hospitality experience. We made some amazing memories and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend. Really looking forward to our next event at Royal Ascot in a few weeks time.
Royal Ascot
Took my staff to Royal Ascot this summer, we absolutely loved it! From start to finish the service was impeccable, our drinks never went empty. Can always rely on Imperial to offer a high quality service. Best company about, highly recommend.
Always made to feel special!
Been to a few events with imperial which have all been unforgettable experiences which are amazingly well planned. We watched some football at Wembley stadium where we had AMAZING seats on the halfway line. The food was beautiful and we even had wine from Messi’s vineyard! We have also been to Royal Ascot which was a perfect day from start to finish. The Imperial events girls made us feel really special always coming over to our table and chatting to our guests. Every event we have been to we have been made to feel that extra bit special. Couldn’t recommend Imperial events enough.
Superb events, amazing customer service and so well organised.
I have attended a number of events through ICE this year and they are always exceptionally well organised. Everything runs like clockwork, there is no stress on the day, client relations are super friendly & helpful and I always have great confidence the event is going to be very enjoyable for me personally and a pleasure to attend for my clients. The recent Royal Ascot event was amazing - the location, hospitality and food & drink were second to none and I would highly recommend anyone interested in attending to get in touch with Imperial to book it up asap.
Great day
It was a very relaxed day, all my team and clients enjoyed the day. It would have been great if there were a few more TV's and seating. The bar should also stock all beverages, as not all of my guests were drinking beer and wine.
All good staff very helpful great day

Family day out at Royal Ascot
Upon arrival we were shown to our table and all the waiting staff and "front of house" were smiling, helpful and attentive. The delivery of tickets prior to the event along with car parking info were spot on. The only negative was that the Pavillion does not have a view of the actual race track/circuit. But it was only a 5 minute walk
Imperial Corporate Events - Royal Ascot
I can't thank Imperial enough for an amazing day at Royal Ascot! We were offered incredible service with a great table in the Pavilion restaurant followed with lovely food, drink and company. We also had the pleasure to meet the girls Molly, Tyra & Dani who put in all the hard work to make these events happen and I can't thank them enough for being so lovely. I have recommended to all my friends & family and wouldn't use any other company. Thanks again!

Incredible day out at Royal Ascot! Perfect client entertainment
top draw events company
top draw events company, used them for nearly 10 years and had 20 plus great days out horse racing eating drinking etc uk and europe. only had one dubious day which was a buffet style cheaper day at royal ascot i think more aimed at entry level and younger clientele and struggled to get decent food but everything else just great including the lad we deal with, Adam who has perfected the right art of friendly jovial sales manner but not being too pushy. cheers trev kilbey

We booked Royal Ascot last year with Imperial after dealing with Jess in the London office. She caught me at good moment as wouldn't usually go for something like this on a spur. Easy process after confirming and Royal Ascot event is another class. Have rebooked for 2023.
I attended Ascot races with Imperial
I attended Ascot races with Imperial, it really was a new experience for me and I was amazed by how well looked after I was. It was a cold day so the luxury marquee with endless drinks and multiple courses was so well received in between races. The service was incredible and I wouldn’t want to do the races any other way!
10/10 experience
I’ve booked several things through imperial and they have always been a 10/10 experience! Ascot, fleetwood Mac, and most recently Florence and the machine and the seats, customer service and experience was breath taking! Couldn’t fault a single second!
5 *****
Literally had the most fantastic day at Royal Ascot. Nothing was too much trouble; fabulous hospitality and professionalism from start to finish. Wonderful food, service and free flowing drinks. Thank you for being part of a very enjoyable day!
Perfect day at the races!
Purchased tickets to Ascot races in June, the day was totally amazing!! Best seats in the house, unlimited food and drink with great service. Best day ever! Elliot treated me and my friends with the utmost respect and was on hand from the first phone call right until after the event to ensure we had the most perfect time. Waited on us the whole day which he really didn’t need to do. DEFINITELY RECOMMEND. Can’t wait to book my next event.

Royal Ascot has run since 1711, when Queen Anne mapped out a course on heath she'd found riding from Windsor. Three hundred years on, every day still opens with the monarch's procession down the Straight Mile at 2pm, and the racing card still pulls 350,000 over the five days. The Gold Cup is the headline; the procession sets the tone.

Ideal for horses to gallop at full stretch

Every moment spent on Frankel's back is a special moment. He is amazing and had all the others cooked at halfway.

The London Gazette carried news of the fixture on 12 July 1711; Doctor, owned by the Duke of St Albans, took the opening £50 plate.
Queen Anne discovered the heath while riding out from Windsor Castle and ordered a course laid out by William Lowen. The London Gazette announced the meeting on 12 July 1711. Doctor, the winner of that opening £50 plate, was owned by the Duke of St Albans.

Now the meeting's headline race, run over two and a half miles on the Thursday of the week.
The Gold Cup was first contested on the third day of the meeting, the slot now known as Ladies Day. Its current distance is 2 miles 3 furlongs 210 yards, roughly 4,014 metres, making it the longest of the meeting's major races.

Beau Brummel's influence on the Prince Regent gives the enclosure its rules: morning dress, top hat, and a hat with a four-inch base.
Brummel, a close friend of the Prince Regent, decreed that men of elegance should wear waisted black coats, white cravats and pantaloons. The current rules still echo his template: men in grey, navy or black morning dress with top hats, women in formal daywear with a solid-base hat.

Royal Landaus down the Straight Mile at 2pm. The pattern still holds every day of the meeting.
George IV established the procession in 1825, and the monarch and royal family have travelled down the Straight Mile in royal Landaus each day of the meeting ever since. The 2pm timing has held for two centuries.

Piggott wins the Gold Cup eleven times across twenty-five years. No jockey has come close since.
Piggott took his first Gold Cup at Royal Ascot in 1957 and his eleventh in 1982. Across those twenty-five years he posted more Gold Cup wins than any other jockey in the race's history, a record still standing more than forty years on.

Frankel opened Royal Ascot on 19 June 2012, defeating Excelebration by eleven lengths in the Queen Anne Stakes, a race renamed in 1930 to honour the racecourse's founder.
On 19 June 2012, Frankel went off in the meeting's opening race and beat Excelebration by eleven lengths in a winning time of 1:37.85. The Queen Anne Stakes had been renamed in 1930 to honour the founder of the racecourse, three centuries on from her first meeting.
