Other popular venues
The Oval sits in Kennington, south of the Thames. Surrey have played here since 1845, and the ground staged the first Test match in England, in 1880.
The 1882 Test here gave the Ashes their name, and the Oval has closed the English summer ever since: the season's final Test is almost always played here. The gas holders behind the pavilion are listed buildings.
Hospitality is in the pavilion and the OCS Stand, with lunch and tea during the intervals. Vauxhall station is a few minutes' walk, and Borough and Bermondsey are close for dinner afterwards.
