What to expect

F1's original night Grand Prix transforms downtown Singapore for one weekend: brake lights, neon hotels and full pit-lane illumination across qualifying and race day.

Anderson Bridge crossing, Marina Bay Sands skyline backdrop, 62 laps that almost always run to the 2-hour limit. 260,000-300,000 across the three days.

Gardens by the Bay's Supertree Grove lights up at 7:45pm. Lau Pa Sat runs late. Raffles still mixes the Singapore Sling at the Long Bar.

The 800th Formula One World Championship race was also the first held at night. Floodlights match a daylight broadcast spec, racing into Sunday evening for European viewers.

Our best tips
Temperatures hit the high 20s to low 30s°C with high humidity. Thunderstorms are common but typically pass within an hour; heavy rain can delay the race, as in 2022. Pack loose-fitting clothing.
No official dress code, but dress smart: loose, breathable clothes for September humidity, plus a light waterproof jacket or umbrella for sudden downpours. Expect muddy, damp shoes near the Padang Stage concert area, which sits on grass.

Getting around
The Marina Bay Street Circuit is served by several MRT stations including Promenade, City Hall, and Esplanade. All are within walking distance of the track.
Taxis and Grab (the local ride-hailing app) are plentiful in Singapore. Drop-off points are arranged around the circuit perimeter.
The circuit winds through the Marina Bay area, which is walkable from most central Singapore hotels. The evening race makes for a pleasant stroll.

Formula 1 Singapore
Formula 1 Singapore The main thing for us was that we were able to move our seats so we got a better view, it was a long way to go to just see the back of a car, what would have been even better was to have been able to go into the paddock area or even be close to the start or finish line but that I guess would have been a lot more expensive!! I was just grateful to have the experience of going to see Formula 1 in Singapore!
Singapore
Great experience, well organised by the whole team.
