St Domingo's FC is founded in a Liverpool church hall.

Born in a chapel, built for a city; Everton's roots stretch back to a single parish congregation in 1878.
The club that would become Everton was formed as St Domingo's FC by the congregation of St Domingo Methodist New Connexion Chapel in the Everton district of Liverpool. Within a year, the club opened its doors beyond the parish and adopted the name Everton Football Club in 1879. It was one of the earliest organised football clubs in the north-west of England.
