Arsenal is founded by munitions workers in Woolwich.

Gunners born not on a pitch, but on a factory floor in Woolwich.
A group of workers at the Royal Arsenal in Woolwich formed Dial Square FC in October 1886, quickly renaming themselves Royal Arsenal. They were south-east London's first major football club, playing on Plumstead Common before moving to the Manor Ground. The club turned professional in 1891 and joined the Football League in 1893.
