Getting around
The Piccadilly Line serves both Arsenal and Holloway Road stations, each a short walk from the ground. Arsenal station is closer to the main entrance and less congested before kick-off.
Black cabs and ride-hailing apps are readily available across North London. On match days, drop-off points are a few minutes' walk from the stadium as road closures apply around Highbury.
Several TfL bus routes stop within walking distance of the Emirates, including the 4, 19, 29, and 253. Useful if you are travelling from central London or Kings Cross.

A century of rivalry, and it all began with a fairly forgettable 2-1 win in 1907.
On 9 November 1907, Chelsea hosted Arsenal (then known as Woolwich Arsenal) in a Football League First Division match at Stamford Bridge. Chelsea won 2-1 in what was a fairly unremarkable fixture at the time. Neither club could have known they were laying the first stone of a rivalry that would span more than a century.
Five league titles and two FA Cups in a single decade; Highbury was simply the last place Chelsea wanted to visit.
Under Herbert Chapman and then George Allison, Arsenal dominated English football in the 1930s, winning five league titles and two FA Cups in the decade. Chelsea, by contrast, spent much of this period as a mid-table side. The fixture became a test of Chelsea's resolve against the best team in the country, and Arsenal's Highbury was the ground every visiting side dreaded.

The 2017 FA Cup final at Wembley was a statement result for Arsenal. Aaron Ramsey scored the winner in a 2-1 victory over Antonio Conte's Chelsea, who had just won the Premier League. It was Arsène Wenger's seventh FA Cup triumph, a record, and a reminder that in knockout football this fixture could still swing either way.
