St Domingo's becomes Everton Football Club.

A Methodist congregation in 1878 gave birth to a football club that would outgrow both its name and its home ground.
Founded as St Domingo FC by the congregation of St Domingo Methodist Church in 1878, the club adopted the name Everton the following year. They played at various grounds around the Anfield area before settling at Anfield Road in 1884, a ground they would eventually leave behind in acrimonious circumstances.
